Mac Liaw entered Ohio State University’s Masters Program in Computer Science at age 15. He was part of the team that produced a cure for the Internet worm in 1988. He's been published by Dr. Dobb's journal & other periodicals. He has done research in Computer Graphics, Database, Network Security, AI, Operation System design, & Fault Tolerance Network. Since the term hacker has evoke negative feelings now, he now use the term chronic programmer.
He was a member of the CERN development team that established HTTP and HTML. He is active in the Linux Kernel, Groovy development and Haskell open source project
